Quality Assurance Engineer

This position will report directly to the VP of Quality and Reliability. This role is ideal for a new graduate seeking to join a growing leader disrupting the RF semiconductor space. Growth within this role can be expected to scale balanced with company growth. This position offers an exciting entry into the world of RF semiconductors, permitting the freedom to become an accomplished RF industry member by working with Design, Applications, Operations, and Sales.

Position Summary
The position will support a blend of customer, product, technical and soft skill objectives. In this role, you will be in direct contact with customers as you work through failure analysis, qualification, and environmental objectives. For this role, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable with RF IC electrical testing, documenting results and reporting results to internal and external customers. This position would be best for a candidate with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering who seeks entry into the RF semiconductor industry. Other Science disciplines will be considered.
Customer Focused
  • Ownership of assigned customer returns, utilizing the 8D RFA/RMA process
  • Input customer returns in database & issue return authorization information
  • Device RF test and submission of parts to the appropriate Failure Analysis Lab for further testing
  • Work with Design and Applications Engineering to determine failure mode and corrective action
  • Track and follow up on complaints. Maintain the Customer Complaint Database
  • Monitor customer complaint cycle time and offer improvements to maintain customer satisfaction
Product Focused
  • Provide Quality voice during product development
  • Quality support for transition into production, including sustaining efforts
  • Understand and provide strategic direction regarding product qualifications
  • Product qualification testing in support of new product introductions
  • Knowledge of IC qualification testing such as HTOL, Biased HAST, Temp Cycling
  • Ability to understand industry standards (e.g., JEDEC, AEC, PPAP)
  • Navigate the Automotive/AEC qualification process and report results
  • Monitor key aspects of qualification and reliability during product launch
Other Roles
  • Understanding of industry environmental initiatives, such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Mineral
  • Work with our supply chain partners to help the QA team maintain compliance to updates
  • Support the company's ISO9001 Quality Management System. Rotate through the internal audit team.
Skills to be Acquired in This Role
  • RF Semiconductor experience in the areas of IC Manufacturing, including Assembly/Packaging, Wafer Process, Failure Analysis
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and principles
  • MS Office/Sharepoint and other company specific software
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to follow through and bring closure
  • Self-starter, self-motivator, capable of identifying proper priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with being the initial contact for customer inquiries related to quality, reliability, and environmental issues
  • Ability to think through, solve problems, and document using 8D process templates
  • Hands-on experience with device testing, troubleshooting, and schematic analysis
  • Knowledge of Python programming language
  • Interface with all levels of the organization, including executive level
