This is my 24th year in the Quality Profession. My first job after graduating from North Carolina A&T State University with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering, was as a Manufacturing Supervisor at a Delphi automotive plant in Moraine, Ohio. I soon returned to North Carolina and ever since, have worked in various quality positions with several local companies in the automotive, fiberoptic cable, and semi-conductor industries, with much of my career being spent as a Customer Quality Engineer.

My decision to accept a position with Guerrilla RF was a no brainer. For the first time in a LONG TIME, I’m excited about coming to work! Here, I’m able to see the immediate results of my actions and know with 100% certainty, that I’m a valued and important part of this team. I’m also a retired Major from the Air Force Reserve where I served 21 years as both an enlisted airman and an officer.

One of my most favorite quotes is from Maya Angelou, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I try to apply this concept every single day.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a bachelor's degree in Accountancy and minors in Chemistry and Criminal Justice. I commenced my career in the external audit practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP in Milwaukee. Then, I transferred out of the audit practice of Deloitte and joined the Forensics practice of Deloitte in Chicago. After two decades of delivering forensic services to clients at a couple of different global consulting firms, including work in 49 of the 50 U.S. States and 43 countries across the globe, it was time for me to stop living out of a suitcase and spend more time with my family at home in Raleigh.

Principal SOI Design Engineer

Reports to: VP of Engineering

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance RF Switches, Bias Controllers and DSA's for automotive and 5G infrastructure applications
  • Support stand-alone product modules as well as design for multi-chip integration.
  • Collaborate with marketing and system engineers to create detailed performance specifications
  • Build the company product catalog by identifying new opportunities
  • Provide technical guidance to support sales and applications
  • Offer mentorship to junior level engineers
Minimum Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Minimum Previous Experience
  • 15+ years of product design experience
  • RF measurement equipment proficiency with ability to troubleshoot measurements.
  • At least 6 products launched into high volume production
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Transistor level SOI RFIC design
  • Solid understanding of current mirrors, LDO, NVG, Digital Design w/Verilog, digital place and route
  • Circuit Design, stimulation and layout using cadence tools
  • EM simulation using Momentum, FEM, and/or HFSS
Additional Desired Skills
  • Design of I2C, I3C, MIPI
  • Clear and effective communication of data reports

Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Greensboro, NC (HQ)

Reports to: Corporate Controller

Role Responsibilities
  • Perform Accounting duties under the Corporate Controller. These include:
    • Reconciliation of critical accounts
    • Review of financial statements as part of important controls and validation efforts
    • Analyze and prepare journal entries
    • Complete key sections of financial statements
  • Work in conjunction with Accounting Services and SEC Compliance on follow up items, internal controls, and accounting systems issues/improvements.
  • Pursue education and training opportunities including CPA certification and related Continuing Professional Education requirements.
  • Act as gatekeeper for the accounting for key transactions and balances including inventory, cost, leases, expenses, revenue and capital among others.
  • Support CFO and Controller with analysis as required to support internal control reviews, SEC filings, audit requests and business manager requests.
  • Complete necessary steps for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities as assigned.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups, when necessary, in concert with records retention and audit trail requirements.
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.
  • Support all audit requirements as assigned.
  • Support and complete internal control processes and accounting policy documentation.
Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
  • Preferred education is a MS in Accounting or sufficient credit hours to sit for CPA exam
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or with a public company
  • Preferred experience with leases and cost accounting
Other Skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to collaborate as a team
  • Advanced excel capability
  • Self-starter and ability to manage key aspects of the accounting responsibilities with minimum oversight over time
  • Ability to effectively employ accounting research tools
