Quality and Reliability Engineer

General Description:
We are seeking a Quality and Reliability Engineer to join our growing Greensboro team. Candidate will help to identify and implement quality and reliability testing programs for new product designs and ongoing reliability monitoring. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a lab environment in a leading and innovative RF IC amplifier company. This is a role that allows a great deal of freedom and flexibility to use your talents to help resolve challenging reliability product assessments. As a young company, you will need to be comfortable with a varying role of testing, soldering, coding and reporting.

Reports to: Quality and Reliability Group

Responsibilities
  • Reliability Testing - Design and/or implement statistical testing for qualification, design validation and reliability analyses. Create and document standardized test procedures. Report results. Guidelines based on JEDEC JESD47 and AECQ100.
  • Problem Solving - Root cause analysis of product non-conformances arising from reliability testing, supply chain or customer concerns.
  • Electrical testing and troubleshooting on bench using applicable electronic equipment such as DC power supplies, RF signal generators, digital multimeters, signal analyzers and data acquisition devices.
  • Prototype Assembly — Assemble PCB assemblies using hot plate, soldering iron, tweezers and microscope.
  • Failure analysis of semiconductor devices to include operations such as IC decapsulation, optical inspection, X-ray, and curve trace.
  • Thermal imaging data collection of semiconductor devices according to procedures.
  • Utilize the FMEA process for risk assessment and design validation test development.
  • Use statistical methods to analyze and assess product test data.

Reliability Engineering Technician

Seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Greensboro team. Candidate will help to identify and implement quality and reliability testing programs for new product designs to solve problems and drive improvement. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with others and communicating directly to supply chain, internal resources and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Reliability Testing – Setup and conduct reliability testing, develop and document plans/procedures, and report results.
  • Functional testing and troubleshooting on bench using various electronic equipment such as DC power supplies, RF signal generators, digital multimeters, signal analyzers, oscilloscopes, and curve tracers.
  • PCB Assembly – Assemble PCB assemblies using hot plate, soldering iron, tweezers, and microscopes.
  • Design and maintain production test and biased system testing software
  • Maintain lab test equipment and process tooling.
  • Failure analysis of semiconductor devices to include operations such as IC decapsulation, optical inspection, and curve trace.
  • Problem Solving - Root cause analysis of product non-conformances arising from reliability testing, supply chain or customer concerns.

Quality Assurance Intern

Role Responsibilities

A successful individual would demonstrate the ability to grasp the following fundamentals and overtime, anticipate the needs of the group.

Support the Quality Assurance Group in the following broad-based activities:

  • Life testing using automated test equipment to develop life statistics for individual products and technologies
  • Resolve customer facing issues related to product quality and reliability using a variety of standardized problem solving and failure analysis methodologies
  • Build, develop and perform reliability testing to industry and international standards as well as non-standard methods as part of design validation activities and experimentation

Technical Writer

Guerrilla RF is seeking an individual who can brainstorm, write and edit material for our marketing and engineering departments. This material will be placed in technical publications via websites and industry trade magazines.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and write technical content.
  • Collaborate with the technical staff (primarily design and applications engineers) to identify and write on topics that will be applicable for publication within technical trade journals.
  • Create and publish press releases.
  • Assist with editing technical newsletters.
  • Edit technical product documentation including user guides, references, datasheets and release notes for internal and external audiences.
  • Create documents that fit within Guerrilla RF's marketing guidelines.
  • Keep a database of all material for document control.
Minimum Education/Experience
  • Bachelors Degree
Minimum Previous Experience
  • 2+ years of technical writing experience within a technology company.

Graphics Designer

The graphics designer will work in conjunction with the VP of Marketing on visual design, product artwork and overall aesthetics pertaining to Guerrilla RF's brand. Projects will include print, online, social media, and tradeshow displays. The role requires a well-rounded graphic designer with solid experience ranging from publication design, print production, web and email design. The graphic designer will report to the VP of Marketing and work independently with Guerrilla RF's product development and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be familiar with designing the layout of product manuals, brochure design, web banners, web graphics, as well as trade show collateral. We are a small team and are looking for a self-starter who will enjoy running with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of creative projects in a fast-paced in-house design department.

Responsibilities
  • Create technical illustrations.
  • Layout and production design of product documentation.
  • Layout and production design of marketing collateral such as brochures, sell sheets, data sheets, online ad banners.
  • Design for multipage documents with style sheets.

Financial Analyst

This position works directly with the CFO and Department Heads in Finance and throughout the company to create budgets and plans that the company will operate under. As important is the performance of on-going analytical duties in support of understanding the moving pieces of business results, cash requirements, capital, expenses, and revenues that are essential for business decision making, risk assessment and the taking of critical actions by management.

Reports to: CFO

Role Responsibilities
  • Performs analyses regarding financial performance on revenue, contribution margin, gross margin, production variances, product mix and costs, operating expenses, cash flows, headcount resources, and other financial statement components. Analyses are both against plans, latest estimates and actual trends.
  • Assists with assigned projects by performing, analyzing, and tracking financial, statistical, and modeling techniques to support department recommendation.
  • Maintains analysis models to support management decision making as well as internal management reporting and support of external reporting needs.
  • Performs interim forecasts and projections commonly referred to as latest estimates. This includes the coordination and analysis of progress against the annual business plan, capital plan and Long-Range Plan (LRP). Performs periodic updates and presents operating changes to management.
  • Assists management in determining and defining the business impact (both operational and economic) on the operation of proposed systems, capital investments, and/or product changes. Prepares, reports on, and tracks feasibility/profitability studies related to proposed corporate programs and strategies.
  • Defines data needs and creates databases used for analyses by establishing links and interfaces between various databases of company and corporate-wide computer-based information and reporting systems.
  • Performs analyses on cost trends and product contribution margin trends. These may relate to supply chain inputs, product mix or pricing.
  • Works with CFO to identify opportunities for automation of processes in the financial planning and analysis group or the improvement of controls and efficiency of said processes.
  • Works with all areas of the company especially Marketing and Business Intelligence personnel to identify and execute on company key performance metrics with the objective of supporting superior business decision making.
  • Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trends.
  • Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations.
  • Produce and manage forecasting analyses.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
Minimum Previous Experience
  • 1-3 years of practical financial planning and analysis experience in a corporate setting with public company experience being a big plus.
  • Proficiency and Experience with accounting software tools and Microsoft office products. This includes experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft BI.
